June 30 will mark the end of ASSiST's first fiscal year existing as a 501c3, and it has been a busy and successful season. We are proud of what we have accomplished in our first year which includes: Providing 501c3 financial assistance to six member teams. Because these teams are private and not affiliated with any public entity, fund raising can be challenging. We are currently in the midst of FIRST Tech Challenge robotics season. ASSiST was able to "assist" 4 FIRST Tech Challenge teams and 2 FIRST Lego League teams by receiving and distributing grant money. We have received and processed grants from NRG, Jacobs Engineering, UTC Aerospace, Humphrey Ltd, and Dow in addition to smaller grants from local grocery stores like Kroger, HEB, and Randalls. Since receiving the 501c3, ASSiST has received and distributed over $20,000. #ASSiS
