The primary activities of ASSiST include:

Supporting member robotics teams by providing 501c3 financial benefits, networking, and mentoring,

STEM outreach to the greater Houston community through the volunteer hours of the member teams,

Connecting with industry and the engineering community in order to increase involvment in STEM education initiatives.

Connecting with local and state government representatives to promote STEM initiatives.

Students learn: programming (ev3, java), computer aided design (Autodesk suite), engineering mechanical design, 3D printing, laser etching, routing, machine shop skills, teamwork, public speaking, project management, business management.
